
A New Era of Public Transit in Oklahoma City
In the heart of central Oklahoma, EMBARK set out to implement a transit solution that would transform commutes through improved arrival times and specialized service for high-volume routes. The challenge was clear: create a bold identity for its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service — one that would inspire confidence, redefine public transit and align seamlessly with EMBARK’s trusted brand. EMBARK turned to Koch Comm to help give the new Bus Rapid Transit service a strong identity.
Transforming Transit
The RAPID project was an opportunity to elevate the way Oklahoma City residents connect with public transportation. Koch Comm worked closely with EMBARK to craft a brand identity that felt modern yet cohesive with EMBARK’s legacy. Through stakeholder workgroups, brand discovery phases and extensive research, Koch Comm distilled the essence of what RAPID needed to be: fast, reliable and transformative.
A Symbol of Progress
By May 2021, the RAPID brand was unveiled, setting the stage for Oklahoma City’s transit future. It wasn’t just a logo or a sleek bus design — it was a commitment to commuters. For residents and businesses along the first route in the northwest corridor, RAPID represented a leap forward for central Oklahoma’s transit system. The brand’s success reaffirmed EMBARK’s mission to remove barriers and elevate public transportation.
